yet another Phone pic ...

Here's another quick pic drawn on my phone ... if only i could find something like eazytoon for my phone I'd be well away ... if anyone can compile the freely available eazytoon source so it works on a O2 xdaIIs I would be eternally grateful! ... anyone .. i can even point you at the source if you want ...

Yesterday I took my car back to the garage where the head gasket on my car was fixed because even though the car felt fine and power was there etc, I could hear a knocking sound, turns out there is some 'play' in my gear box and could cost up to 800 quid to fix :(

This is a phone drawing I did while waiting for Taylor at Karate ... pretty much how I felt (no, I'm not bald yet)

Started off with some self caricatures, then went onto some character drawings for possible music video character ... won't say what yet tho' ;)

Couple o new pics .. some more to come by the end of the week hopefully If i have the time ... These two are a couple I did at the outlaws on real paper with real pencils .. then coloured virtually in photoshop very quickly with no mess ... hmmm .. no messss ...

and other news ... My car died last week, the dreaded 'Head gasket' .. fortunately i'm in the AA so they paid the biggest chunk of the repair bill .. but still .. coulda done with out a) the hassle and b) the extra 250 quid on top of the 500 the AA paid for me ... :(

More hassle .. My broadband is currently quite narrow ... 130Kbits at the o' .. i have had up to 7mbits which isn't bad considering they reckoned i would 'only' get about 3.5mbits .. although downstream its has been 130kbits, upstream its been 400kbits .. figure that one out if you can!

Just a quicky . did this while out the other night, along with two other pictures that I will add shortly .. pencil on paper, headphones on blocking out really important local gossip then scan and colour at home ...

Finally got round to adding my entry to the latest themed sketch competition on Skwigly.co.uk .. and here t'is .. I apologise for it's dark view on the coming year, but it's how I felt when I drew it ... now run along to skwigly and vote for your .. ahem .. favourite pic!

brain fart ...

Shh ... please don't let it see me ... pencil drawing done while at the outlaws after christmas tea party, the choice of conversation killing music was ..er.. great, so after the ones I was chatting with in the other room left, I turned on my mp3 player (thanks kids!) and doodled while listening to Van the man Morrison, The Beatles 'love' album (which some kind secret Santa at work gave me), the Zutons and the Fratellis ... and today I painted it on my 'puter.

There may be a couple more to come, but I might get too busy to add 'em just yet.

David at Skwigly.com added a thread called Sketch Champions so I did this picture, I had no idea what i was going to draw before I drew it, I just started and ended about 30 to 40 minutes later ...

Well, BAF 06 is over and it was fun!

I got there most days, but work stuff had to be done so popping back to work meant I missed a few things ... I really hope we can host some workshops of something next year or something.

Anyhoo, I didn't miss the awards presentation where there were some truely excellent animated films and managed to get to the parties where a few people got to draw little pictures on my phone ... Tom Woolley - festival oragniser was first up with his rendering of the BAF logo :-

Clay has done it again ...

While going through Clay's school bag today (helping his Mum get it ready for school tomorrow) I discovered this ... Nice one son!Sad news today though .. our dog Rupert died this afternoon, he was over 13 years old (We've had him for about 12 years or so) and had recently started again with his seizures after seemingly getting over them with medication, unfortunately this time round he didn't get through them. he survived being run over on the fast road outside our house, being attacked and left for dead by two dogs, an Akita and some kinda of terrier. At least he's not suffering now. Rest in peace fella.

Teenage mutant wha?

Just how long ago did the Teenage mutant ninja wotsits first appear ... I did this back in 1981 as one of the characters in the comic I was doing then ...

I was doing some work for the local advice center's newspaper (back in 1981- no easy access to computers and desk top publishing) and as payment I had a few perks like getting to use the camera and darkroom and also having my comic strip printed on its back page :D ... here's two of those pages :

While trying to sort out some old boxes I've got in the Garage I came across these old drawings that I did a 'little while back' in one of them, they were drawn in 1981, the first is an unfinished version of the program cover for the school production of 'Dracula Spectacular' :

Here's a couple of pics I drew on my phone while at the outlaws .. well .. okay, its a little more than a phone .. but its still a phone :D -- still more images n stuff to dig out and stick on here!

I'm not dead .. just been a tad busy ...

I will be updating the Blig and my site with stuff sometime in the next few days .. honest ...

In the meantime go have a look at a quick site I knocked up for My Son's Karate Instructor - Paul Roper - UXS - using the artwork he provided and and short animation trailer for his character.

Also, news ( a few weeks old now) Taylor (my youngest son) - passed his Green Belt grade in Karate - not only that, it was with a first class pass!

King Coach

I was recently asked to do a drawing for a local kids rugby team ('Walton Warriors') to present to their coach .. i had to wait to post it until he'd be given it at a party last Saturday ... I don't really know the guy but had a couple snapshots of him .. apparently it looks like him., his name Is Chris King (I think)

One by my son that he forgot he did ...

My Eldest son's school has a 'gallery' of the kids artwork from time to time and he said he hadn't done anything for it this time, his Mum went anyway (I woulda gone but it was during the school day and I was at work :( ) ... anyhoo ... it turns out he did do one and I thought I'd post it here to show how proud I am!
